Today is the biggest game of Postecoglou’s reign as Celtic boss so far.
Off the back of securing Europa League qualification, the manager and his players will be looking to show supporters another sign of the immense progress made since pre-season.
It’s not going to be easy, regardless of any squad and staff Covid-19 issues at Rangers.
However, the manager has named a strong, confident team that we know can perform at a high level.
I’m not making any predictions, but if we can impose ourselves on Rangers today, we have a very good chance of securing a positive result.
It’s going to be a fascinating, heart-pumping afternoon.
If you’re in the UK & Ireland, today’s match is live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football.
Supporters outside of this region can also watch the match as a subscriber on Celtic TV. The game is not on the Pass To Paradise service for season ticket holders.
In America, the place to watch is on the CBS Sports Network, while Australians can tune in on beIN Sports 1 or Kayo.
In total, the match is on 59 channels in a staggering 140 countries, which you can find details of here.
Fan reaction to Celtic derby team vs Rangers
Regardless of who Postecoglou picked today, he was always going to have the goodwill of supporters behind him. He’s earned that at this stage.
There is definite excitement about about the attacking talent on display today with Odsonne Edouard and Kyogo Furuhashi both featuring.
Intrigue too considering Josip Juranovic is making his debut for the club at left-back, where he’s barely played throughout his career.
Bring it on!

A good side. Wasn’t sure whether Christie would be off the left or in midfield today but think after Thursdays game its a good choice to have him there https://t.co/K1zpSNUbjJ

👏👏👏 Whatever happens the day, that team selection looks absolutely spot on. Couple of big calls but this side best addresses our weaknesses in certain areas imo. https://t.co/MnSyvbwcYK— Marc McArdle #古橋亨梧 🇯🇵 (@marcmcardle1) August 29, 2021
Why do Celtic love to make me over confident before these games.— Ryan Fitzsimons (@RyanStevenF) August 29, 2021
