Celtic are perennial winners of the Scottish Cup, but have one trend that they could break this year.
The Hoops face St Mirren in the semi-final at Barclays Hampden, where they will face Dunfermline in the final if they can prevail.
Winning trophies is a non-negotiable at Celtic and, even though they hold the cards in the title race, the Bhoys will be eyeing a domestic double. By winning the trophy on the 23 May, they would also achieve something for the first time.

Celtic awaiting first Scottish Cup win in a year ending in six
History shows that Celtic are used to winning the Scottish Cup plenty of times.
The Hoops have lifted the trophy on no less than 42 occasions at the time of writing, are still in search of that 43rd one.
If they go all the way and win the trophy, it will be the first time the club has won the Scottish Cup in a year ending in ‘6’.
While it’s not a major issue in the grand scheme of things, it is an interesting quirk and one that would allow the Hoops to say they have won the competition in every year ending from one to nine.
Winning the Scottish Cup gives Celtic a platform for next season
This season has been frustrating for everyone associated with the Hoops to say the least and some silverware will certainly provide something for fans to smile about.
Losing in the semi-final or final would mean another 10 years to wait before they can add a Scottish Cup trophy from a year ending in ‘6’ to the cabinet but the confidence boost it will give the club going into the new season will be most welcome.
