Celtic fans are left divided about the reason why Daizen Maeda continues to get a run in the side.
Maeda started and disappointed against Rangers, despite winning the penalty in stoppage time.
Aside from that, the winger was non-existent in the first half and failed to make an impact when moved into the number nine role. Questions about his place in the team need to be asked, but our TalkingPoints users on 67 Hail Hail have differing opinions.

Why do you think Celtic managers are so insistent on playing Daizen Maeda despite his form?
Daizen Maeda’s place in the Celtic team comes into question
It seems inevitable that Maeda is going to leave Celtic this summer and the transfer speculation has affected his performances on the pitch, while others feel that the Hoops would be weakened without him.
One fan wrote on TalkingPoints: “Maeda has the speed and the ability but he just looks uninterested. He should have won the game for us today with the chances he got. Definitely needs to be benched.”
However, another fan said: “Maeda makes a massive impression in every game. Without Maeda we would be in danger of being overrun. He certainly isn’t as effective as he was scoring goals for the greater part of the 2nd half last season. However, he is almost certainly one of the first names on the team sheet.”
What can Celtic do to help Daizen Maeda get back to his best?
Another commented: “I just don’t know with this guy. Missed 2/3 chances but I feel he cannot be dropped. I think he needs a talking to and find out what the problem is.”
A fourth wrote: “Something seems to be bothering him. He seems to have lost a bit of confidence. We should get behind him and help him find his way again.”
This TalkingPoints user said: “He doesn’t want to be here. Let him go, he’s not doing anything for us.”
