Some Celtic fans are disgusted after noticing what the club’s chief financial officer Chris McKay did in the Celtic Park directors’ box during the Braga clash.
The Hoops faced the Portuguese side in the second matchday of the Europa League league phase and put in a truly woeful performance.
Celtic lost 2-0 as goals from Ricardo Horta and Gabri Martinez handed Braga all three points, leaving the Bhoys with just one on the board so far.
It was no laughing matter from a fan perspective, although that did not seem to be the case for board member McKay.

McKay caught chuckling with Celtic 1-0 down to Braga
McKay was sat in his usual directors’ box seat alongside Celtic CEO Michael Nicholson and chairman Peter Lawwell.
The TNT Sports camera panned towards the three men on the 32nd minute with all of them on their phones – and Celtic losing 1-0 at this point.
McKay can then be seen chuckling at his phone before the camera moves back to the action on the pitch.
And of course, with Celtic going on to lose the match 2-0, the moment did not go well with supporters on social media platform X.
Celtic fans react to McKay’s chuckle vs Braga
One fan said: “The CFO Chris McKay is there on the right, having a wee chuckle. Wonder what amused him. Maybe just seen his salary hit the bank.”
Another wrote: “They were communicating with each other on WhatsApp, note Lawwell pressed send and McKay immediately chuckled. We see you 👀.”
This supporter reacted with: “Came off the HCTS and boycotted the Europa League tickets. Seen this watching on the train home, and any doubts I had were gone. Made the correct decision”.
And another posted: “Is it a coincidence that all 3 are on the phone and one is laughing ? Don’t think so, clearly texting in a chat together during a Europa league game at 1-0 down. That’s the people supposed to be leading our club”.
