It was a night to remember for Celtic fans all over the world as they saw their side win on the road in Europe for the first time since 2021.
Celtic beat Feyenoord 3-1 to keep their Europa League fate in their hands and to cement Martin O’Neill’s legacy as a club legend.
Robin van Persie was classy despite the defeat and reserved plenty of praise for the Hoops, even if his own fans are beginning to turn against him.
The win came in unusual circumstances as Feyenoord had a partial stadium closure following the use of pyrotechnics in their game against Panathinaikos.
That didn’t stop Celtic, though, and they were praised heavily by local media.

Celtic away support praised by Dutch media
2,500 away fans packed into the stands in De Kuip to show their support for the Hoops.
To nobody’s surprise they were perfect from the first minute to the last, singing non-stop.
Their efforts didn’t go unnoticed by Dutch outlet De Telegraaf, who claimed that the visiting Hoops supporters were so loud that they couldn’t hear the home fans.
They wrote: “A quarter of the stadium had to remain empty due to a hefty UEFA penalty following fireworks in previous matches, the Legion’s heart was missing.
“The Celtic supporters also proved so loud that at times they drowned out the sound of De Kuip.”
Celtic fans continue to be the best in Europe
It’s a well-known fact that the Bhoys travel better than most, but once again, they’ve outdone themselves.
Even with the wretched record on the road going into the game, Celtic’s fans still turn up in their thousands in the hope that we get the win.
‘This is the day that we win away’ could be heard all around De Kuip, and the rest of Rotterdam all night long.
Those that were there deserved that win, and will hopefully see many more in Europe.
