Photographers didn’t manage to capture Christopher Jullien in Lennoxtown training today as Celtic prepared for tomorrow’s clash against Rangers.

Jullien smashed into the post during the 3-0 win over Dundee United on Wednesday.

He required help to exit the pitch and Neil Lennon confirmed afterwards he had injured his knee.

The manager refused to rule him out of the Ibrox match tomorrow but did admit he would be assessed.

Celtic trained at Lennoxtown earlier today and photographers were in attendance from photo agency SNS to take a look.

We have access to those images via Getty, but couldn’t see any sign of Jullien taking part.

Celtic also posted a social media update with photos from the session, with no sign of the Frenchman.

Shane Duffy, Kris Ajer, Hatem Elhamed, Stephen Welsh and Nir Bitton were all spotted with their teammates, all of whom could start in the central defensive area.

It should be stressed that this doesn’t rule him out of tomorrow’s game, but it’s not a great sign of his involvement, especially coupled with Lennon’s comments yesterday.

Celtic dilemma

The Celtic boss will likely want to keep his team selection close to his chest for the trip to Ibrox.

Jullien missing the match would be a blow, especially as it reduces the capacity for tactical tweaks, such as Ajer moving out to right-back instead of Jeremie Frimpong.

However, Celtic do face Rangers in good spirits having turned around a dreadful run of form.

Kicking off 2021 with a massive derby win would be the perfect way to spark a comeback in the Scottish Premiership.

In other news, Celtic were one of the of team’s hoping to sign winger Philip Zinckernagel.
