Celtic almost pulled off the impossible after they held Bayern Munich to a 1-1 Champions League draw in the Allianz Arena.
Nicolas Kuhn opened the scoring for Celtic in the 60th minute as Brendan Rodgers’ side silenced the Bayern crowd for much of the game before heartbreak ensued in the 94th minute.
Alphonso Davies equalised late on for the Bundesliga club after Kasper Schmeichel made a last-ditch save to almost secure a wonder result for the Scottish champions.
However, Celtic exited the Champions League 3-2 on aggregate as the Bhoys put up an excellent battle in a night where no one expected them to get anything against the German champions-elect.
So with that in mind, here are 67 Hail Hail’s player ratings as Celtic proudly battled to a historic draw in Germany against Bayern Munich.

Celtic player ratings as the Bhoys Champions League campaign ends
Kasper Schmeichel – 8
The big Denmark international ‘keeper was excellent as Schmeichel pulled off three important saves in the first half. Distribution was good and made more important stops in the second half.
Jeffrey Schlupp – 7

Schlupp got the nod to start for Celtic and after a shaky first ten minutes, the Celtic fullback settled well against the Bayern attack. The 32-year-old even managed to make a few attacking forays into the Bundesliga club’s defensive third.
Auston Trusty – 7
The American defender was never really troubled and helped keep Harry Kane under control as Trusty limited the England international to just two shots on goal.
Cameron Carter-Vickers – 7
The US international was solid for much of the game and never gave Harry Kane a sniff. Carter-Vickers some crucial interceptions and stood up well to some late pressure from the Bayern attack.
Alistair Johnston – 8
The Canadian fullback was strong the whole night and made some crucial blocks in the first half. Johnston showed aggression and passion and never let Gnabry into the game.
Callum McGregor (c) – 8
The Celtic captain was superb as he, alongside Hatate and Engels, kept Kimmich and Goretzka at bay. Was unlucky not to score in the first half but probably should have squared the ball to Nicolas Kuhn. McGregor was solid the whole night.
Reo Hatate – 7

The Japanese midfielder was superb as he played some nice passes in the first half to try and break down the Bayern defence. Hatate had some stray passes too but that is always going to happen when his job is to try and unlock defences.
Arne Engels – 8
The Belgian was class in the middle of the park with some superb passing and almost created the opener for Daizen Maeda in the first half. Engels was calm and composed on the ball and controlled the midfield.
Nicolas Kuhn – 9
Kuhn looked dangerous all night and was unlucky not to open the scoring in the first half. Had two shots on goal but the all-important one was the shot that opened the scoring. Replaced by Yang on the 69th minute due to injury.
Jota – 7
Played well for the hour he was on the pitch. Showed some skill and trickery as Jota carved open the Bayern defence for Nicolas Kuhn’s effort that was cleared off the line. Jota an out of steam after an hour and was replaced by Adam Idah.
Daizen Maeda – 9
What can we say about the Japanese winger that hasn’t been said already. Maeda was a pest as he chased and harried the Bayern defence. His persistence was rewarded as he forced a mistake from the German defence to allow Kuhn to open the scoring.
Adam Idah (sub) – 6
Replaced Jota on the hour and was solid enough. It was Idah’s forward pass that began the move for Kuhn’s goal as the Irishman
Hyunjun Yang (sub) – 5
Replaced the injured Nicolas Kuhn but couldn’t really make the same impact. To be fair to Yang, the Korean spent much of the game defending as Bayern pressed for an equaliser but he did acquit himself well.
