Celtic Predicted XI vs Motherwell after Ange's promising squad update

Today is another big game for Celtic and Ange Postecoglou.

After the morale-boosting win over Aberdeen prior to the international break, the Scottish Premiership clash against Motherwell this afternoon is a chance for the team to show they can find consistency away from home.

The Steelmen sit above Celtic in the table and will be confident of their ability to pick up a positive result. Only an excellent Bhoys display will get the job done.

Postecoglou must get his starting eleven and tactical decisions spot on. Thankfully, he now has a stronger squad to choose from after his injury update yesterday.

Mikey Johnston returns to contention while Giorgos Giakoumakis is looking fitter after ten days of hard training. However, both are likely to start on the bench.

Joe Hart is a guarantee to start in goal for the Bhoys, with a likely defence of Anthony Ralston, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Carl Starfelt and Adam Montgomery in front of him.

Montgomery didn’t have a fantastic game at Pittodrie and some may want Liam Scales to get an opportunity. However, the young Celt was the player who eventually provided the assist for Jota’s winner, showing excellent determination and desire in the late stages of the match.

The central midfield three is where the big call has to be made. Ange opted for Nir Bitton against Aberdeen, but I have a suspicion he may return to the more attacking trio that has most consistently started together.

Tom Rogic was pivotal in pushing Celtic forward when he came off the bench against the Dons and together with David Turnbull and Callum McGregor has the chops to break down Motherwell too.

Ahead of them, it will be just the third occasion that Jota, Liel Abada and Kyogo are unleashed together which is an exciting prospect. Their presence hopefully pushes high against ‘Well and opens up the opportunities Celtic need to get ahead in the match early.

Your predicted XI in full is: Hart, Ralston, Carter-Vickers, Starfelt, Montgomery, McGregor, Turnbull, Rogic, Abada, Jota, Kyogo.
