Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has thanked supporters after “excellent” ticket sales for Tuesday’s match against Ferencvaros in the UEFA Europa League.
The match against the Hungarian outfit kicks off at the annoying time of 3:30 pm due to UEFA regulations and the upcoming COP26 conference in Glasgow.
This has been fully outside of the club’s control.

There had been fears the crowd could be a poor one, with many unable to commit to the fixture because of work, education and family commitments.
However, Celtic are impressed and say fans are set to arrive in “great numbers” and cheer the team on in an announcement tonight.
Ange Postecoglou told the official website: “I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank so many supporters for committing to next week’s match.
“We fully understand that this is a highly unusual time for a European match. However, I can assure our fans that we will be doing all we can to make it a good occasion for us and do all we can to get a positive result for our supporters.
“It’s obviously very unusual timing for the match, so all the efforts being made to get there are truly appreciated, by myself, the players and everyone at the Club. It is, of course, a real shame that a number of fans will not be able to make it, something we totally understand, but we will do all we can to get a result for all our supporters.
“For so many fans to have committed to the match already demonstrates again what a brilliant support we have. So on behalf of everyone at the Club, I want to reiterate our thanks for such great support.”

The fixture is not yet sold out, but a look at Celtic’s online ticketing system shows multiple seats together aren’t possible in most sections of the stadium.
However, if you don’t mind not sitting next to a pal or family member there are plenty of opportunities to find a seat in a prime section to watch Celtic in European action.
It seems we’re heading for a crowd in excess of 40 or 50 thousand, which is exceptional in the circumstances.
