Brendan Rodgers will likely make a few changes against Motherwell.

With the Thursday-Sunday schedule for Celtic now in full flow, rotating the starting XI to maintain freshness and energy will be key.

But could Rodgers make some alterations purely down to form? Kieran Tierney and Kasper Schmeichel may be under threat in that regard.

Tierney hasn’t been firing on all cylinders yet this season as questions remain over his fitness, while Schmeichel made a very costly error against Braga.

So what will the starting XI for Motherwell look like? 67 Hail Hail predicted it below.

Rodgers sticks with Schmeichel but drops Tierney

Schmeichel did not appear to train at Lennoxtown on Friday, fuelling speculation that he will be benched for Motherwell.

But Rodgers will show faith in Schmeichel and keep him between the sticks to give him a chance of redeeming his poor form.

Schmeichel is an experienced campaigner and will understand what it takes to bounce back from adversity.

Meanwhile, Tierney will be dropped to the bench with Marcelo Saracchi favoured at the left-back instead.

Tierney appeared to have some cramp against Braga, and hasn’t been playing brilliantly. On the other hand, Saracchi looks hungry and has linked up well with Sebastian Tounekti on the left wing of late.

So Schmeichel will retain his spot in goals, while Saracchi and Anthony Ralston will be deployed as the full-backs. Cameron Carter-Vickers and Liam Scales will play at the heart of the defence.

Then it will be a midfield three of captain Callum McGregor, Reo Hatate and Arne Engels. Benjamin Nygren was especially disappointing on Thursday evening.

Tounekti will start as the left winger, while Daizen Maeda is on the right. Kelechi Iheanacho is the central striker at Parkhead.
