Tonight’s game marks a big occasion for the Czech top flight side, after inviting Celtic to participate in a match to celebrate their 100th anniversary.

However, for Ange Postecoglou and his players, it has provided them with another opportunity to continue their preparations for the new campaign.

The Bhoys are taking part in their third pre-season match-up, having defeated Wiener Viktoria 7-0 one week ago today and coming off the back of a 3-3 draw against Rapid Vienna last weekend.

It should prove to be an interesting test for the Hoops, facing Ostrava, who are well underway with their own pre-season preparations and are taking part in their six friendly match of this summer.

Broadcast details

Once again, for this evening’s game, there are no TV channels or radio stations broadcasting the match.

The only way to watch this match is via a Celtic TV subscription, with supporters able to catch all six friendly fixtures on the club’s official channel.

However, this game will be the final pre-season match-up that won’t be televised, with Premier Sports showing Celtic’s last three outings against Blackburn Rovers, Legia Warsaw and Norwich City.

Instant verdict on Celtic team vs Banik Ostrava

After seeing more of the big guns return during Saturday’s draw, Ange Postecoglou has named another strong starting 11.

The Celtic manager has welcomed back injured duo Josip Juranovic and Anthony Ralston, who will both be looking to get minutes in their legs for the first time this pre-season.

The likes of Greg Taylor, David Turnbull and Kyogo are all making their first start of pre-season after putting in a strong showing off the bench against Rapid.

The only notable admissions from the squad looks to be midfielder Reo Hatate. The reasoning for that call has not been confirmed as of yet.

Slowly but surely, Postecoglou will be looking to move into a side that is most likely to start the first competitive game of the season at the end of this month.

As is expected in pre-season, though, there are going to be a host of changes at some point in the match, to allow other members of the squad to build up their fitness and sharpness.

It is great to have the Bhoys back in action playing twice every week, and I am sure the Celtic support will be looking forward to seeing this team in action tonight.
