Manager Brendan Rodgers has named his Celtic team vs Feyenoord for tonight’s UEFA Champions League match at Celtic Park.

The full squad is as follows:

Starting XI – Hart, A Johnston, Welsh, Scales, Taylor, Iwata, McGregor, O’Riley, M Johnston, Palma, Kyogo.

Substitutes – Bain, Morrison, Lagerbielke, Phillips, Turnbull, Holm, Oh, Bernardo, Forrest, Ralston, Frame.

Celtic are already guaranteed to finish bottom of Group E with Feyenoord also assured to end in third place, so not much is on the line for either club tonight apart from competitive pride and a bit of prize money.

Nonetheless, Rodgers has named a strong team for the encounter, hoping to entertain supporters and end their wait for a Champions League group stage win.

There are two changes to the line-up that lost at Kilmarnock with Stephen Welsh coming back into the line-up after injury and Kyogo Furuhashi replacing Hyeongyu Oh.

Broadcast details

Tonight’s fixture is exclusively live on TNT Sports 2 in the UK and Ireland tonight.

Celtic TV and BBC Radio Scotland will be carrying audio commentary online and over the airwaves.

As you’d expect from the Champions League, the game is also being broadcast on dozens of channels around the world including Paramount+ in the United States, Movistar in Spain, RTL 7 in the Netherlands and Stan Sport in Australia.

Instant verdict on Celtic team vs Feyenoord

Welsh’s inclusion is a big surprise. He hasn’t started a match since October 2022 and has only been used as a substitute once this season.

The homegrown defender was involved during the pre-season period but injury has kept him out of action for a large chunk of the campaign. Tonight is a massive opportunity to show he belongs at Celtic.

His selection doesn’t say much for where Gustaf Lagerbielke sits in the manager’s plans.

Elsewhere, it’s good to see Kyogo back in the team and hopefully his time on the bench will help him recapture form after just one goal in ten matches.

In other news, Brendan Rodgers responds to Celtic fan backlash after defeat.
