Celtic looked sharp on the road against Ross County last week, and there’s an expectation of carrying that form right into today’s Ayrshire encounter.

Kilmarnock have already publicly stated they’ll be setting up defensively, focusing on slowing the game down and fouling Celtic. It will be a tough shift for all the players named today.

It’s an entirely unchanged starting eleven and bench with the manager clearly focused and showing faith in a core group to get the Bhoys through these early stages of the season.

Broadcast details

The game from Rugby Park will be on Sky Sports Football, Main Event and UHD.

Celtic TV will also be carrying it for subscribers to their service outside the UK & Ireland, with many other channels across the globe carrying the match from the SPFL’s world feed.

In Australia, the match will be on beIN Sports 2, while USA viewers can tune into CBS Sports Network. Celtic’s increasing Japanese audience can also watch the match on subscription streaming service SPOTV.

A full list of global channels can be found via Live Soccer TV.

BBC Radio Scotland will also provide live audio commentary on their service.

Instant verdict on Celtic team vs Kilmarnock

It’s not a great surprise to see many of the starters in the line-up today. The only change we had considered the manager might make was bringing in Liel Abada for Daizen Maeda – but clearly Postecoglou appreciates what the Japanese international brings.

Again, the bench looks incredibly strong and that could play a factor in the second half if things are tight, as they were against County.

It’s a group full of threat, intent, experience and knowledge of Postecoglou’s system and you’d have to consider it more than capable of picking up all three points this afternoon.

In other news, Celtic far from finished in the transfer market.
