Manager Brendan Rodgers has named his Celtic team vs Ross County for today’s Scottish Premiership match at Celtic Park.

The full match squad is as follows:

Starting XI Hart, Johnston, Carter-Vickers, Scales, Bernabei, McGregor, O’Riley, Bernardo, Abada, Palma, Kyogo.

Substitutes – Bain, Kuhn, Turnbull, Holm, Nawrocki, Vata, Ralston, Welsh, Johnston.

Celtic return to league action this afternoon for the first time since the winter break. Ross County have had some big difficulties in recent matches but the Bhoys must assert themselves from the first whistle to make it a comfortable 90 minutes.

Brendan Rodgers has made several changes to the team that took on Buckie Thistle with Alexandro Bernabei rejoining the fray to replace the injured Greg Taylor and captain Callum McGregor in the side.

Cameron Carter-Vickers is also back in the starting eleven after injury, shortly after signing a new deal with the Bhoys.

Broadcast details

Today’s match is not being shown anywhere, officially, in the UK & Ireland.

Celtic TV will be broadcasting the match to subscribers of the club service worldwide, away from these shores.

BBC Radio Scotland will be providing live audio commentary across their platforms over the airwaves and online.

Instant verdict on Celtic team vs Ross County

Taylor’s injury was a blow and some had surmised that Liam Scales could be moved onto the left flank in place of the stalwart, with Maik Nawrocki coming into the heart of the defence.

However, Bernabei gets his big chance and if he performs well there’s an opportunity for him to rack up a few appearances over the next month.

There will also be anticipation for Nicolas Kuhn to make his debut for the Bhoys after signing from Rapid Vienna earlier this month. Hopefully, he gets off the bench in the second half to show off his attacking skills.

It’s pleasing to see young Rocco Vata also still involved in the match squad after he netted his first Celtic goal last week.
