Celtic’s first pre-season friendly gets underway this evening, and Ange Postecoglou has named the squad that will take part against SC Wiener Viktoria.
The full match squad is as follows:
Starting XI – Joe Hart, Osaze Urhoghide, Christopher Jullien, Bosun Lawal, Alexandro Bernabei, James McCarthy, Yosuke Ideguchi, Reo Hatate, James Forrest, Mikey Johnston, Johnny Kenny
Substitutes – Ben Siegrist, Tobi Oluwayemi, Josh Dede, Matthew Anderson, Liam Shaw, Ben Summers, Rocco Vata, Albian Ajeti, Owen Moffat

Of course, with it being the first of six pre-season fixtures over the next three weeks, Postecoglou is likely to make changes in the second half.
To start the game, though, the Celtic manager has named mostly an experienced side, with the inclusion of youngsters such as Bosun Lawal and Johnny Kenny.
It has been a long nine weeks since we last saw the Bhoys in action, so I am sure fans will be buzzing to see this one get underway!
Broadcast details
Celtic supporters looking to catch a glimpse of Ange Postecoglou’s side for the first time in the 2022/23 campaign will only be able to watch this evening’s match via Celtic TV.
Unfortunately, tonight’s game will not be available on any TV channels.
Subscribers to the club’s official channel can live stream all six of the Bhoys’ pre-season fixtures, with the final three against Blackburn Rovers, Legia Warsaw and Norwich City also being shown on Premier Sports.

Instant verdict on Celtic team vs SC Wiener Viktoria
Whilst there are some more experienced names in the squad, arguably only Joe Hart and Reo Hatate are starters for Ange Postecoglou’s first team.
Tonight’s starting team just goes to show how far the Hoops have come in 12 months, that we are able to produce quite a strong side, without any big hitters.
Postecoglou has handed one of the club’s newest recruits, Alexandro Bernabei, the chance to make his non-competitive debut.
After looking like he was headed for the exit door last week, Christopher Jullien has also been given the opportunity in the backline.
It is good to see so many youngsters in the squad for this evening’s game, and hopefully, the fringe players will show their worth to the former Socceroos boss.
In other news, Celtic transfer statement of intent appears to be frustrating rival supporters.
