With the majority of the latest Celtic news centering around the hunt for a new manager, we thought we’d change our usual transfer round-up to a managerial one.
With two new names mentioned, an interesting spotting of Neil Lennon and much more, it’s all the chat from Wednesday.

Portuguese boss tipped for job
Former Sheffield Wednesday boss Carlos Carvalhal has been tipped by one of his old players for the Celtic job. The Sun reports that midfielder Barry Bannan, a self-confessed Celtic fan, reckons Carvalhal would be right for the role. Bannan praised his former boss to the hilt saying: ““He’s a great guy, very intelligent too and he knows football inside out.”
There has been no formal link between Celtic and Carvalhal as of yet.

The West Brom element
Neil Lennon being spotted at the West Brom-Aston Villa playoff encounter added suspicion to proceedings. Why was he pictured alongside Garry Parker? It can’t have been for Celtic business can it?

The West Brom job is currently available but not for long if Chris Hughton gets his way. The Daily Mail report that the 60-year-old is interesting the Baggies after being sacked by Brighton on Monday. Could Celtic be set to miss out on a potential target?
A couple of new contenders
It wouldn’t have been a proper day without a couple of new potential managerial candidates. Enter Claudio Ranieri and Laurent Blanc. An Italian report from calciomercatoweb claimed that the duo were on a Celtic shortlist. Welcome to the party, guys.
We’ll have another update from the wacky managerial world on Thursday evening.
