Many Celtic fans will say this was coming. A season that has already produced inconsistent performances, on top of a January window to forget, equals more dropped points in the title race.
The first-half performance against Aberdeen was actually pretty good, other than lacking that cutting-edge and finishing touch in the final third.
But the lack of ruthless behaviour opened the door for the managerless Dons, who punished the Bhoys following an outstanding finish by Bojan Miovski.
That led to the Celtic players making the wrongs decisions, such as Joe Hart not coming out and dealing with a ball when it was punted over the top.
Chris Sutton was left perplexed in the comms box and made it clear ‘Joe Hart has to come and deal with that’, as he told Sky Sports Football (04/02/24 at 2:00 pm).
Instead, the £1m signing made Maik Nawrocki chase back to deal with it and put it out for a throw-in, with lead commentator Ian Crocker adding that the experienced shot-stopper was ‘strangely rooted to the spot’.
Whilst the first-half display was acceptable, as soon as Aberdeen turned it on, the game was way too open for Celtic’s liking.
All in all, it just summed up what has been a frustrating week for the club.
Dropped points against Aberdeen
“Joe Hart has to come and deal with that,” said a perplexed Sutton. “I mean, blimey! Nawrocki had a little look didn’t he, ‘Are you going to come, Joe?’”
Lead commentator Ian Crocker added: “He seemed strangely rooted to the spot there, Joe Hart.”

Pressure beginning to mount on Brendan Rodgers
Yes, the fans will take aim at the board, and they already have, but the manager always cops the most flak.
This team, in comparison to what Ange Postecoglou was doing last season, is a world apart and a stranger to that Treble-winning team.
Yes, from Reo Hatate to Cameron Carter-Vickers, there have been constant and annoying injuries to these players.
But that still shouldn’t be an excuse for, not only results not coming through, but the performances being well under par.
