Celtic huffed and puffed but eventually found a way to blow down Dundee in the Scottish Premiership at Parkhead tonight.

Brendan Rodgers shocked the Celtic fans as he rang the changes with his starting lineup and caused a bit of a stir.

A frustrating first half saw Celtic carve out at least six good chances as the Dundee defence held firm to ensure the Taysiders went in at halftime all square.

But an improved second half saw Rodgers make an early triple change as the Celtic boss brought in the big guns of Daizen Maeda, Alistair Johnston and Reo Hatate which completely changed the course of the game.

In the end, Celtic ran out comfortable winners against Dundee as Rangers faltered in Pittodrie losing 2-1 to Aberdeen which prompted Chris Sutton to send out this brilliant reaction on social media.

Chris Sutton roasts ‘rotten’ Rangers as they fall nine points behind Celtic

Sutton was on duty with Sky Sports taking in the Aberdeen clash with Rangers and at full time, the Celtic hero lambasted the Ibrox club as Philippe Clement’s team find themselves cut adrift at the top of the league.

Sutton said, “Incredible night and atmosphere at Pittodrie. Well played Aberdeen and Jimmy Thelin👏👏… Where do Rangers and big Phil go from here? Rangers are rotten…”

Celtic, Aberdeen and Rangers’ next fixture as the Scottish Premiership table takes shape

With an international break almost upon us again, the Scottish Premiership table is starting to take place now after tonight’s results.

With Celtic still level with Aberdeen and nine points ahead of Rangers, the next fixtures in the league are going to be crucial.

If Jimmy Thelin’s will be keen to keep up with Celtic and as for Rangers, every game is a must-win now if they want to keep the gap at the top of the league looking respectable.

So with that in mind, here are the final fixtures all three clubs have to see out before the international break kicks in on the 10th of November:

Celtic

Rangers

Aberdeen

With so much at stake and the results falling as they did tonight, Rangers’ league season will be over if they don’t win their two games before the international break and Celtic and Aberdeen look like they will be fighting it out for the title.
