Celtic are closing in on Hearts after making it back-to-back wins under Wilfried Nancy.

Following the victory against Aberdeen, Celtic beat Livingston 4-2 to move to within three points of the league leaders, with a game in hand.

All of the goals came in a frantic first half that saw four goals in the first 10 minutes, where the two teams consistently exchanged blows.

Benjamin Nygren impressed with a brace, with his second the pick of the strikes, before Arne Engels scored from the penalty spot.

There was still plenty to improve, but it seems that Nancyball is finally beginning to take shape.

With that, here are five things that we have learned from that win against Livingston.

Could Benjamin Nygren be the temporary answer to the striker issues?

The obvious standout from the victory was the performance of Nygren.

His brace took him to 10 goals in all competitions and he is the Hoops’ top scorer.

Time and time again, the 24-year-old has proved that he can pop up in the right places to score and is more clinical than current option Johnny Kenny.

Taking him out of the position that is working is a risk, but he may be a better option right now.

When Nancyball ticks, it is glorious

One thing you cannot accuse this Celtic side of being is boring.

Yes, it is heart in mouth stuff when it comes to the defending at times, but when attacking, my word, it is electric.

You feel like something could happen every time we go forward and that is something supporters have been deprived of for large parts of this season.

It is only going to get better and more refined, but it feels like it is beginning to click.

What an insane start to the game

Arne Engels looks at home next to Callum McGregor

Arne Engels comes under the microscope more than others due to his price tag, but it seems that we have stumbled across where he plays best.

Shifted out wide restricts all of his qualities, but next to Callum McGregor, he looks better.

He got on the scoresheet thanks to the penalty, but his best work was defensively. Engels looked more energised and we hope to see that more often.

The title is in Celtic’s hands now

It might be crazy to say this while still sitting second, but the wind is in Celtic’s sails.

These two wins, alongside Hearts’ Edinburgh derby loss against Hibernian, mean that the Bhoys can go level on points if they win their game in hand.

There is still a long way to go in this title race, but it does feel like it is now advantage Celtic.

Viljami Sinisalo doesn’t take golden opportunity with both hands

After Kasper Schmeichel was ruled out due to an injection, Celtic fans finally got their wish after Viljami Sinisalo was picked to start the game.

Sinisalo has looked reliable enough when called upon previously, but his rustiness was evident to see.

Should Celtic prioritise replacing Kasper Schmeichel in the transfer window?

The ‘keeper couldn’t do anything about Livingston’s second, but there wasn’t enough to suggest he would dislodge Schmeichel for the next game against Motherwell.
