The impact of the Green Brigade was felt at Celtic Park today.

It was, in fact, the first Glasgow Derby with the group present since Celtic’s last win over Rangers in 90 minutes back in September 2024. This likely isn’t a coincidence.

It was just the second game at Celtic Park since the end of their ban from home and away fixtures imposed by the club, which had been ongoing since November.

We recapped what the group were up to today… and they were busy.

How much of a difference did the Green Brigade make to the Celtic Park atmosphere?

Let us know in the comments if you were at the game.

Benny Lynch-inspired tifo

On display in the North Curve before the game was a grand Tifo in tribute to legendary Scottish boxer and Celtic fan, Benny Lynch.

The GB used his image alongside the slogan “We’ll fight it out until the end” to symbolise the club’s resilience in the final stages of the title race.

In 1937, Lynch famously fought Jim Warnock at Celtic Park in front of a crowd of over 20,000 people.

Tribute to Franky Mullen

Earlier this month, one of Celtic’s most loyal followers sadly passed away. Francis “Franny” Mullen followed the team across the globe for multiple decades.

At the start of the second half, the group displayed a banner which read: “RIP Franny Mullen. He was there and he was always there.”

A lovely Tommy Burns-inspired tribute to a man who was a fixture in the Celtic community for most of his life.

A Union Bears drum?

The Union Bears were in the headlines ahead of today’s game, with Celtic refusing to allow any away allocation unless the group were excluded.

Rangers ended up agreeing to this after SPFL decision-makers decided to uphold Celtic’s stance on the dispute. Thankfully for UB, their drum didn’t go to waste.

It was seen in Celtic’s North Curve section, stolen and put to use for the Parkhead atmosphere which spurred the team onto victory.
