Alistair Johnston has known nothing but success at Celtic.
Since being signed by Ange Postecoglou, the Canada international has been almost ever-present at right-back and one of the best players in the Scottish Premiership.
Johnston started in the draw against St Mirren and was there to celebrate with James Forrest as he scored for the 16th season running.
After celebrating with his teammates, the defender spoke to Sky Sports where he had a moment of forgetfulness.

Alistair Johnston forgets how many trophies he’s won with Celtic
Johnston has been at Parkhead for three-and-a-half years now and has won a lot.
To be precise, the 26-year-old has won seven trophies during his time in Glasgow, but when asked about his success, he forgot that he had won that many.
Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: “That’s seven trophies, or is it more?
“You can’t even count them on your hands – James can’t even count them on his toes he’s won that many.”
It’s true, to be fair. Forrest is Celtic’s most decorated player of all time with 26 major honours to his name.
Every trophy Alistair Johnston has won with Celtic
To win one trophy in your career is amazing, but to win seven is just amazing.
| Trophy | Number of times won |
|---|---|
| Scottish Premiership | X3 (2022/23, 2023/24, 2024/25) |
| Scottish League Cup | X2 (2022/23, 2024/25) |
| Scottish Cup | X2 (2022/23, 2023/24) |
Johnston has been an integral part of the success under Postecoglou and Brendan Rodgers, as proved by his records.
He could make that eight major honours in a week’s time but even still, he can look back on it with pride.
