Supporters called for the board to be sacked with Callum McGregor admitting that expectations are high.

Kairat Almaty vs Celtic tickets sell out in one hour

Some Celtic fans will be gearing up for the trip to Almaty and those travelling to the far point of Central Asia will have a full stadium of home supporters.

According to SportArena.kz, every seat in the Central Stadium has been sold out, with all tickets being purchased within an hour of going on sale.

The Central Stadium can hold up to 23,084 supporters and is used as a multi-sport venue. It is also where Kazakhstan’s national team play their home games.

When is Kairat Almaty vs Celtic?

There isn’t long until Celtic make the mammoth trip to play the second leg against Kairat, which takes place on Tuesday 26 August.

Kick-off is at 5:45PM BST due to the time difference in Almaty, where the local time will be 9:45PM.

Brendan Rodgers and co won’t have long to dwell on the game after though as when they return it will be the first Glasgow derby of the season when they travel to Ibrox to face Rangers.
