Julian Araujo continued to endear himself to Celtic fans by winding up the Rangers supporters after the Scottish Cup victory.

Celtic beat Rangers on penalties to book their place in the semi-finals of the competition, where they will face St Mirren at Hampden Park.

Things descended into chaos after the shootout win at Ibrox and Araujo couldn’t resist adding some extra spice to the drama.

Julian Araujo winds up Rangers fans at full-time

Araujo has become a fan favourite for Celtic since joining on loan from Bournemouth and isn’t shy of showing some passion.

As the players were taken down the tunnel while the police tried to deal with the issues on the pitch, the full-back responded to the jeers and taunts from the home support by sticking his tongue out and pointing to the badge of the Celtic shirt.

That amused the likes of Joel Mvuka and the rest of his teammates, who made sure he then made it back to the dressing room before anything else threatened to spill over.

The Rangers fans walking down the tunnel painted a very different picture, including Nedim Bajrami, who was dragged away by members of his coaching team after reacting to an incident involving members of the Hoops first-team.

Julian Araujo’s reaction to Tomas Cvancara’s winning penalty

Tomas Cvancara’s penalty was the moment that sealed the deal and confirmed victory at Ibrox, sparking wild scenes from the 7,500 fans in the Broomloan stand.

Most of the Celtic players ran towards Cvancara to celebrate with him but Araujo ran the other way, straight in the direction of the away end.
