Now that the dust has settled on the Glasgow Derby win over the weekend and others pour over the aftermath of another Celtic, Ange Postecoglou, his squad and Bhoys fans will be looking forward to the upcoming trip to Kilmarnock on Sunday, April 16th.

Celtic now sit twelve points clear at the top of the table and whilst the fans generally all agree that the title is over, Ange Postecoglou will still treat the Kilmarnock fixture as a must-win game.

In the past three meetings between the clubs, Celtic have emerged victorious. The Bhoys ran out 5-0 winners at Rugby Park in August of last year with Kyogo Furuhashi, Moritz Jenz, Carl Starfelt, Jota and Giorgos Giakoumakis all contributing to the goal-fest.

An Ash Taylor own goal and another Jota effort secured a 2-0 victory over the Ayrshire men at Celtic Park in January of this year. Then, Daizen Maeda and Giakoumakis struck to come through a Hampden semi-final test against Derek McInnes’ side.

Celtic were offered an allocation of 3,969 tickets for the trip this week and Celtic FC Tickets have confirmed that the club have sold out. Kilmarnock have just announced that all hospitality packages for the game are also sold out.

Today, the SFA confirmed that David Dickinson will be in charge of the match as referee, with Craig Ferguson and John McCrossan serving as his assistants. The fourth official will be Duncan Williams while Alan Muir will operate VAR from Clydesdale House, supported by Gary Hilland.

The 12 pm Sunday kick-off will be available to watch on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football with coverage starting from 11 am.

Celtic will be buoyed after their 3-2 win over Rangers at the weekend and know that another three points will take Postecoglou’s side a step closer to retaining the title and automatic entry into the Champions League.
