Martin O’Neill has confirmed that Marcelo Saracchi suffered a hamstring injury in Celtic’s win on Sunday.
Celtic beat Kilmarnock 4-0 to move to within seven points of league leaders Hearts, with a game in hand.
The Hoops suffered a blow before making the breakthrough after Saracchi went down before having to be replaced by Kieran Tierney.
As well as the Uruguay international, the 73-year-old delivered a rather worrying update on the injuries suffered by Alistair Johnston and Callum Osmand.

Martin O’Neill provides injury update on Celtic trio
Speaking to the media after the game, O’Neill was asked about updates on Saracchi, Johnston and Osmand.
During that, he confirmed that the latter two would be heading for operations early in the week and were expected to be out of contention for a long time.
He said: “He’s [Saracchi] done his hamstring. I don’t know what this game is about.

“And the other two lads, Osmand and Johnston, are having surgery on Tuesday so they are going to be out for a long time.”
When pressed on the issue to Johnston, the Northern Irishman revealed that scans revealed a more problematic injury than first feared.
“They had to wait a while for his hamstring, just to get a clear picture on it. Scans have shown a tear,” O’Neill confirmed.
“It’s really sad because everybody says he’s a really, really good player.”
