The reverberations of Celtic’s win at Feyenoord will be felt for weeks.
Hoops boss Martin O’Neill was delighted with the victory as he watched Celtic’s attacking intent smash three goals past Feyenoord in De Kuip.
O’Neill was visibly excited post-match, and quite right too considering Celtic’s win at Feyenoord was the first win since he led the Hoops to the same scoreline at Ajax 24 years ago.
And after praising Hyunjun Yang for his attacking performance, the Celtic boss singled out another player for some special attention as O’Neill shares what he told young Colby Donovan in the dressing room at full time.

What Martin O’Neill told Colby Donovan in the Celtic dressing room after Feyenoord win
Colby Donovan was superb in the win over Feyenoord and showed some great mental strength after he was found wanting in Celtic’s defeat at Hearts.
And here, Celtic boss Martin O’Neill shares what he told the young defender in the De Kuip dressing room.
O’Neill told Celtic TV, “Couldn’t be more pleased with him. Couldn’t be more pleased. I thought that he had a tough time at Hearts.
“Got left out. He’s come in here. I’ve seen bits of him now that I think, ‘Yeah, wait a minute, there’s a player there’.
‘Dominated possession? Well, we’re more than a decent side tonight. But listen. You can get carried away with things. Well, it was a brilliant, brilliant win.’ Let us know in the comments what you thought of the win.
“And I thought he was terrific, because he was up against a really decent player. And he coped admirably, considering we were away from home.
“And, yeah, I couldn’t be more pleased with him. I said to him in the dressing room there that he was magnificent tonight.”
The Feynoord player Colby Donovan shackled to delight Celtic boss O’Neill
Donovan was on the park for 83 minutes of Celtic’s win and put in a solid display as he gave one Feyenoord player a tough time.
Leo Sauer was the man Donovan put the shackles on as the two teenagers went head-to-head in the Europa League win.

Sauer was taken off after 62 minutes as Fotmob detailed how Donovan limited the young left winger to just two shots on goal, seven passes and just 24 touches of the ball.
Interestingly, the Feyenoord attacker lost the most duels in the game as Sauer met his match coming up against the young Celtic defender.
