Joe Hart and Nir Bitton took to Instagram this afternoon to revel in an important Celtic Scottish Premiership win.
Both players had fine 90 minutes at the Tony Macaroni.
Hart made a spectacular save early on to keep the scores 0-0, while Bitton took up a deep playmaking role in the middle of the park, also protecting the defence from rare Livingston forays forward.
Bitton hailed the “massive 3 points” in his Instagram stories while Joe Hart chose to pay tribute to the “incredible” travelling support who packed out three sides of Livingston’s stadium.
The Celtic win over Livingston was huge for the players and fans
Both players are experienced operators and know what wins like today’s mean.
Bitton has been part of many Celtic title charges and knows better than anyone how difficult it has been to win away to Livingston over the last few years. Like long-serving teammates Callum McGregor and James Forrest – he proved a point today.
Hart has title race experience too as part of successful Manchester City sides. Having him around in the dressing room will be a great boost to some of younger players during the next eight games.
Supporters know fine well what today was all about too – keep our noses in front of Rangers. That was the nature of this weekend as soon as we dropped points against Hibs recently. There was no room for error.
We’re now in great shape ahead of the remaining games, with a Scottish Cup quarter-final to look forward to next Monday too.
It truly could be a special end to the season.
