Neil Lennon highlights the biggest difference in the Celtic side since Martin O’Neill replaced Wilfried Nancy

Martin O’Neill is still yet to lose a game since returning to the Celtic dugout.

The Hoops drew 2-2 with Bologna on Thursday night after having to play over an hour with 10 men following Reo Hatate’s red card.

That makes it three wins and one draw since agreeing to return following Wilfried Nancy’s sacking and there has been an obvious change in the atmosphere.

Arne Engels is one of the many players who has spoken about the change in mood since Nancy was sacked and Neil Lennon thinks his former manager has created something much more positive.

What Neil Lennon has noticed about Martin O’Neill’s return

Lennon was part of the punditry team on TNT Sports for the game against Bologna.

Celtic’s slight resurgence in form was one of the topics, and he feels that O’Neill has managed to help the players find their form again.

“He’s managed to get the best out of the players again,” said the former two-time Hoops manager.

“Let’s not hide away from the fact that the Nancy appointment was catastrophic and the club acted quickly.

“Paul Tisdale went as well and they acted quickly so they got Martin back in. Now the fans and players want stability.

“If you look at Martin’s record since he came back in, domestically it’s perfect. There are good players in the building and he wants to add to that.”

What do you think is the main reason Wilfried Nancy couldn’t buy a win as Celtic manager? 🤔

Martin O’Neill matched Wilfried Nancy’s record in quick time

Nancy only won two games in the eight he took charge of the Hoops for.

O’Neill has won more points than any other Celtic manager this season and he managed to match the Frenchman’s record in his first two games back.

Since then, he has eclipsed his win percentage and is still yet to lose since coming back for a second time.

The draw in northern Italy is the first time the Bhoys haven’t won in his second spell and that momentum is what’s needed going into Hearts this weekend.
