Celtic have posted up their ‘unique angle’ video of last night’s thumping win over Jablonec in UEFA Europa League qualifying.
The fixture took on extra significance for many supporters considering it was their first time back in Paradise for well over a year. The atmosphere was outstanding.
Celtic have done their best to capture that with this footage. They clearly had a number of cameras focused on the crowd rather than the action. The edit really gives you a sense of what it was like in the stadium last night.
The goals are great, of course, but for me the best bit of that video is the reaction to Joe Hart’s saves in the second half. There’s a roar that goes up, after the second save in particular, that’s really satisfying.
I’ve truly missed what the Celtic crowd offer to the experience of watching the team. Moments like that bring drama to the whole occasion.
I’m also confident it will have been a massive confidence boost for Hart, who is still getting up to full match sharpness following his move from Tottenham Hotspur.
If the crowd wasn’t there, that double save may well have been forgotten quickly. However, with the backing of the support, everyone will remember this second-half moment.
It’s onwards and upwards for Hart now, and Celtic too!
