The Green Brigade are back at Celtic Park and in their first display chose to make a point to new Celtic CEO Dom McKay.
On banners ahead of last night’s victory against FK Jablonec, the fan group made it clear they disagreed with charging fans for the fixture.
The match wasn’t made available as a bonus to season ticket holders, despite the majority not getting to enjoy the promised free European qualifier at home to Midtjylland in person.
Celtic charged £19 for the match.
An image on The Green Brigade banner showed the Celtic CEO wringing the support for cash, with the message: “18 months out. £19 to get back in. Rinse and repeat.”
It’s another example of some supporters not buying into the strategy of the Celtic board, even if they like what they see from Ange Postecoglou and the team on the pitch.
A demonstration was held by various fan groups ahead of the Dundee match on Sunday to make it clear they expect more from the club. No doubt more action will follow if they feel promises aren’t being kept and complacency again creeps into the board’s decision-making.
The club has a lot to do to prove itself to supporters this season. They can’t just coast along because things are looking up in terms of performances and results.

With this display, The Green Brigade have made it clear to McKay they will make their voices heard loudly even though he’s new into the job.
The honeymoon period is very much over!
In other news, incredible post-match footage of Ange Postecoglou soaking in Celtic crowd emerges.
