Celtic supporters haven’t been shy to voice their concerns this season, and even vote with their feet if need be.
Martin O’Neill expressed his disappointment at just that following the Celtic fan protests against VfB Stuttgart on Thursday night in the Europa League, but there was no such thing against Hibernian.
After Auston Trusty’s red card in the 74th minute, the North Stand at Celtic began to empty, with Pat Bonner trying to clarify to lead commentator Liam McLeod that it was because of the torrential rain, and not because that moment of the match had gone against them.
You even had former Hibernian player Tam McManus spouting nonsense on social media about Celtic supporters having a sense of ‘entitlement’ for seemingly emptying the stands at 1-1.
You are the Celtic manager. What do you change for the rest of the season? 🤨

Why Celtic fans emptied the North Stand after Auston Trusty’s red card against Hibernian
The rain was belting it down over Glasgow on Sunday, and those who weren’t covered in the stands would have endured a miserable day.
Not only did they witness Celtic losing to Hibernian late on, but they would have got soaked to top it off, but commentator McLeod initially thought on BBC Radio Scotland that the supporters were ‘heading for the hills.’
That’s when Bonner stated that ‘some of them pushed back into the stands’ to try and cover themselves.
Liam McLeod: “Free-kick for Celtic over on the right. Loads of empty seats over in the North Stand over there. The Celtic fans are heading for the hills, with this game on a knife-edge.”
Bonner: “Some of them pushed back into the stands.”
Michael Stewart added and joked: “I think they were getting away from Donegal drizzle.”

Nonsense spouted from Tam McManus about Celtic fans
Celtic have dominated Scottish football for a long time, and it hasn’t stopped a few pundits, now and again, from trying to throw some shade at the club.
McManus tried to do that on social media before he was shut down in the comments section by the Celtic supporters.
This is what he had to say:
“1st sign of competition/adversary at Celtic and the fans have deserted the team, empty seats everywhere at 1-1 late in the game,” claimed McManus.
“Incredible. Entitlement & complacency have ripped through that whole football club. Celtic have been a shambles on & off the park this season and deserve to win nothing. That might well come to fruition in the next two matches.”
The host of the Let Me Be Frank Podcast, Simon Houston, responded to McManus:
‘Tam, the empty seats were down near the front,” wrote Houston.
“People were being drenched in unbearable rain. Many moved up for shelter. The Celtic support was tremendous today. Were you in the stadium?’
