The Celtic support may be about to take over the Aviva Stadium this weekend, based on some recent comments.
The Hoops are in Dublin for our penultimate pre-season friendly, with Wolves providing the opposition.
Julen Lopetegui’s side have decent pedigree but it seems like they will be playing more of a supporting role come Saturday.
Irish Wolves chairman Tony Lawlor has been speaking in an official Wolves website article.
Lawlor seems genuinely buzzing at the prospect of his team playing in his city, but he does acknowledge that their support will be outnumbered by a decent margin.
“I’m so used to seeing Wolves in Dalymount Park and Bray, but now we get to see them in the big sweet shop of the Aviva,” he said.

“We’re really looking forward to it because it will be a great day. [Celtic’s support in Ireland] has always been that way. In order, you would probably say Manchester United, Liverpool, Celtic, but they would probably swap around depending on how things are going.
“They will have a huge crowd there. Literally three-quarters of the stadium will be geared for Celtic, and the other quarter will be where the Wolves supporters are, so it will be great.
“The last time we played Celtic it was up at Celtic Park and it was a great occasion, so there will be a lot of Irish supporting Celtic, but there will be a lot of Wolves fans coming over to Dublin from Wolverhampton.”
So there we go. Saturday will be like a home game for Brendan Rodgers’ side, with the Hoops support set to take over the Aviva Stadium.

Pre-season must have been a really enlightening experience for a number of our recently-recruited players. If they didn’t already know how big a club they had joined, it will surely have sunk in after trips to Portugal, Japan and Ireland.
Celtic fans have been with them everywhere, even when they weren’t technically meant to be, in Portugal. But the team will have appreciated the support.
Pre-season is entering it’s final stages. Saturday is likely to be our toughest test so far, and the visit of Athletic Club to Glasgow a few days later will also present a tasty challenge.
The Celtic support will be there in their tens of thousands for both clashes.
In other news, Cameron Carter-Vickers was putting in the hard graft while his Celtic team-mates were in Japan
