Predicted Celtic XI vs Hibs as Brendan Rodgers makes winger swap

Celtic know exactly what they have to do at Easter Road tonight after Rangers did their bit against Aberdeen.

The Scottish Premiership champions remain top of the table despite their arch-rivals’ 2-1 victory over Neil Warnock’s Dons last night.

However the Glasgow giants are locked on the same points total of 58 and are separated by just one goal – Celtic having scored slightly more.

The Hoops can restore their three-point lead at the summit against an out-of-sorts Hibs and anything less would signal alarming concerns amongst fans for the title race.

Worryingly, Brendan Rodgers has never beaten Hibs in Edinburgh as Hoops manager and Celtic have won just two of their last eight trips to Leith [Fitbastats].

But with Nick Montgomery’s side winless in their last six Premiership clashes [Fotmob] and coming into this game off the back of an embarrassing first-half collapse against St Mirren, there are grounds to go and get a positive result.

Here, 67 Hail Hail predicts the Celtic starting XI for this evening’s clash as we expect Rodgers to make just one change from the Aberdeen draw.

Nicolas Kuhn gets his chance

Since signing from Rapid Vienna in January for a fee of around £3m, Nicolas Kuhn has made two substitute appearances for Celtic.

The 24-year-old received 26 minutes in the Ross County win before announcing himself in the Premiership with his first goal just four minutes after replacing Liel Abada at the weekend.

Kuhn earned Celts a point from a losing position and could be rewarded tonight with a start. Both Abada and Luis Palma were well off the pace at Pittodrie so whoever is dropped for Kuhn really have no grounds to complain.

Adam Idah impressed Celtic fans with his cameo against Aberdeen, showing some neat touches and providing the assist for Kuhn’s deflected goal.

Rodgers might find it difficult to drop Kyogo Furuhashi but we won’t be wholly surprised if the Norwich City loanee is also handed a first start in green and white.
