Callum Osmand scored his first-ever Celtic goal at Hampden and what a time to do it.

Celtic beat Rangers in the Premier Sports Cup semi-final at Hampden and it was Osmand’s extra-time goal that sealed the win.

With the score sitting at 2-1 with just 15 minutes to play, Osmand popped up in the Rangers penalty box to score his first Celtic goal in true poacher’s fashion.

And what the young Hoops striker did as he celebrated the historic moment was beautifully captured by Celtic’s Unique Angle and Premier Sports’ pitchside cameras.

Callum Osmand’s Rangers goal celebration Celtic fans might have missed

Young Osmand looked out in the cold at Celtic under Brendan Rodgers. But with Martin O’Neill it appears that the young Welshman has an immediate future at the club.

And boy, didn’t he pay back the faith of his manager with his well-taken goal against Rangers. And what the Celtic striker did afterwards was captured superbly by Premier Sports and Celtic TV.

First off, here is how Premier Sports saw the young striker’s goal from pitchside.

And as for Celtic TV? Well, their Unique Angle footage was just as good.

Callum Osmand opens up on ‘painful’ Celtic spell under Brendan Rodgers

Osmand was clearly over the moon with how his Celtic career has turned around and after the match, the young striker opened up on his ‘painful’ time under Brendan Rodgers.

When asked if he thought his Celtic career was never going to get off the ground, Osmand told Premier Sports, “Yeah, you get to those points, but I think that’s the bit that builds you as a person and a player.

“Like those moments where I’m not in squads, and I’m running in the rain up and down the pitch on my own with a couple other boys.

“It’s painful, but I feel like they’re the bits that create you as a player, and then obviously prepared me for these moments, and I just have to take it. So, really happy.”
