Celtic rescued a point amid another frustrating display in a 1-1 stalemate against Aberdeen at Pittodrie earlier today.
Nicolas Kuhn scored his maiden goal for the club to equal proceedings after being laid on by fellow new recruit Adam Idah.
Other than that, it was an otherwise unconvincing performance from the Scottish Premiership champions against a rejuvenated Dons outfit, who had Peter Leven in temporary charge.
One of the main points of contention that came to light during the affair was Steven McLean’s decision not to send Maik Nawrocki off for a second bookable offence in the 55th minute.
The 22-year-old took down the other goalscorer on the day, Bojan Miovski, in a late challenge just outside his own penalty area. However, McLean chose not to reprimand the defender and instead just awarded the hosts a free-kick.
Former Celtic icon Chris Sutton can be heard in commentary stating his belief that the Pole was a ‘fortunate boy’ not to be given his marching orders.
In his defence, Nawrocki’s initial booking for a foul on Kalvin Phillips was soft, to say the least, so perhaps these things do even themselves out.

Russell Anderson says Celtic’s Nawrocki should’ve been sent off
Former Aberdeen defender Russell Anderson was in the Sky Sports studio today and adamant that Nawrocki should’ve been dismissed during a period when the Dons were in the ascendency.
Cited via The Glasgow Times, the 45-year-old stated: “Very lucky. You talk about turning points in games and stuff, and I know there was a long way to go after the potential incident we’re talking about, but I just cannot see how that second incident is not a yellow card.
“It baffles me how you can get a decision like that wrong, and it does make you wonder if he hadn’t been on a booking, would he have given him a yellow card.”
In the aftermath of proceedings, fans of both teams will argue the toss over whether Nawrocki should’ve been sent for an early bath.
The matter is now redundant and Celtic will be keen to move on from a missed opportunity to claim three points in the North East.
