Scott Bain has called fellow Celtic goalkeeper Joe Hart a ‘legend’ after their Scottish League Cup win over Glasgow Rangers.
A Kyogo Furuhashi double either side of half-time earned Ange Postecoglou’s side their first piece of silverware this season.
Rangers did pull a goal back through Alfredo Morelos, but couldn’t find that all-important equaliser.

Celtic have now won back-to-back Scottish League Cups, and the first trophy of a potential treble has been secured.
Sitting nine points clear of their closest rivals, and in the Scottish Cup quarter-finals will certainly be getting plenty of Celtic fans excited.
They have Joe Hart in part to thank although he was rarely tested by the opposition. He faced 11 shots from Rangers this afternoon, but only two were on target.
Hart’s concentration was still very much required even if Michael Beale’s side failed to really test him. Scott Bain has hailed Hart’s contribution to Celtic winning yet another trophy. The goalkeeper’s union at Parkhead is stronger than ever right now.
Bain and Hart celebrate in Celtic dressing room
On his Instagram story, Bain and Hart are pictured in the Celtic dressing room together. The former England international is holding the trophy, and Bain has captioned the picture ‘Legend’.
After the match, Hart was quick to praise the togetherness of his side.
“[We] kept our cool in some tough moments, they pushed hard, but we had enough in the end,” Hart said.
“We played a very hard team to put away today. You can only do that if you are all pushing in the same direction and we are that. It’s special. This club is really special and means so much to people. However, we are very good at staying in the present. We will enjoy today and will focus on a tough game against St Mirren.”

One of his predecessors in the Celtic goal, Craig Gordon, praised Hart in the build-up to the game.
His comments were very much justified as he helped the Bhoys secure another piece of silverware.
Ange Postecoglou has held heart-to-heart talks with Hart over his future at the club. Right now, it seems very unlikely that he’ll want the 35-year-old to go anywhere although a rethink is always possible in the summer.
Bain looks like he’d want his teammate to stay, even if Hart’s performances are keeping him out of the team!
