Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers was asked for some of his best memories of visiting Pittodrie on Wednesday.
The Hoops take on Aberdeen at their home on Sunday afternoon in our first away game of the Premiership season.
The fixture will see Rodgers take on the Dons for the first time since December 2018. Celtic won an engrossing Pittodrie encounter 4-3 that day, and that was kind of the story of the matches during that period.
Remarkably, Rodgers won 12 of his 13 meetings against Derek McInnes’ Dons — with the only defeat coming in a Trophy Day dead rubber in 2018.
The matches were often pretty tight, especially up at Pittodrie. Although Rodgers has one top performance in his mind.
“I remember going there and having one of the best performances we had while I was here,” the Celtic boss said. (Celtic YouTube)

“I think since Aberdeen had played last, that was going to be our fourth game due to the change in games.
“We went up there one evening and we were absolutely outstanding, won 3-0. We played really calmly in the game and our level was really high. That was a very good performance.
“I [also] remember Browny getting kicked up there and having a dance. That was a funny memory.]
“Overall, I can only remember really competitive games against Aberdeen.”

The 3-0 game Rodgers referenced arrived at a time when Celtic were under some pressure. Aberdeen had started the season well as our nearest challengers, while we had just been thumped by Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich on the Champions League.
But we were magic that night with Kieran Tierney and Moussa Dembele (2) goals doing the damage.
Pressure-relieving Pittodrie wins were a bit of a theme in those years. Later in the 2017/18 season we went to Aberdeen having just been eliminated convincingly by Zenit Saint Petersburg in the Europa League.
Again, Tierney and Dembele scored and Celtic won. Brown’s hilarious dodging of horrendous challenges, including a red card one from Sam Cosgrove, is perhaps what is remembered most.
Rodgers enjoying a similar record against Aberdeen in his second tenure would be very good news.
In other news, the manager has shared some good news about injured duo Alistair Johnston and Marco Tilio
