67 Hail Hail has taken a look at three things that you may have missed from Celtic’s win against Stuttgart.

While we know that Luke McCowan’s goal was the difference in Germany, there were some moments that went under the radar.

So, with that, here are some of the moments we spotted that others may have missed.

Now that Celtic’s European campaign has come to an end, how would you rate it?

Kasper Schmeichel’s touchline antics

Kasper Schmeichel was dropped for the game after receiving criticism for his recent performances.

As he watched Viljami Sinisalo produce a man of the match display, Schmeichel could have sat there and sulked knowing that he may be on the bench in this weekend’s Glasgow derby.

Instead, the 39-year-old was there on the touchline, shouting and bellowing instructions at various points of the game.

That was refreshing to see and, while he has been poor this season, is an experienced player who can always pass on advice.

Celtic finally ended their German hoodoo

The Europa League run has come to an end, but Celtic were able to finally bury a demon and beat a German side away from home.

They came very close against Bayern Munich in the Champions League last season but fell just short. This time, though, the Bhoys defended resolutely and gave the fans who had travelled to the MHPArena something to cheer about at the very least.

Under Martin O’Neill this season alone, the Hoops have ended their wait for a first European away win since 2021 and now earned themselves their first win in Germany.

Controversial build-up to Stuttgart’s disallowed equaliser

Stuttgart thought they had put the game beyond all doubt when Deniz Undav equalised in the second half, only for the goal to be ruled out for offside.

Replays showed that it was the correct decision but it wasn’t without controversy as the fourth official allowed Ermedin Demirovic onto the pitch during an attacking phase of play.

Demirovic played the ball into Undav, who then scored the equaliser. Justice was served as the former was in an offside position, but allowing him back onto the pitch in an area where he could immediately affect the game was very disappointing.
