Celtic fans got a first look at their new January signing against Hearts at Tynecastle.
Martin O’Neill didn’t waste any time, and he threw Tomas Cvancara straight into the starting XI for Celtic’s top-of-the-table clash at Hearts.
Despite Celtic leading the game twice, including an assist from Cvancara, the champions of Scotland could only settle for a point.
Auston Trusty’s red card was a turning point, as Cvancara shared the mood from inside the dressing room following Celtic’s 2-2 draw against Hearts.
Is Martin O’Neill correct? The Celtic boss was fuming!

Tomas Cvancara pulls no punches and reacts to Celtic’s draw at Hearts
Let’s be honest, it wasn’t a great game of football. Very little was played. It was very cagey, and the quality on show, from both sides, was very poor.
Cvancara was battling and battling in that first half, but his Celtic teammates around him just weren’t playing to his strengths.
And when they did, he produced a moment of magic, as he stated that the game was ‘very difficult’, and ‘we aren’t happy’ with just a point.
Speaking on Celtic TV, Cvancara made it clear that, whilst the Hoops haven’t helped themselves in their race to win the Premiership title, ‘it’s not over until it’s over.’
“It was quite a difficult game,” admitted Cvancara. “A lot of duels. A lot of long balls. We aren’t happy with one point. We can win the game, but in the end, one point is quite okay.
On the feeling in the dressing room: “We were winning 2-1, so in the end, we conceded two goals via set-pieces. I would say that it is our mistake. We will work on that and get better.
On his own performance: “I would say it was very difficult. For me, I arrived three days ago, and I have lots of flights. It was a difficult game. I can help with better performances.
“I am happy I can make an assist to Yang, but I would say that I could offer a little bit more.
On winning the title: “It’s not over until it’s over, right?”
Is the Celtic midfield too one-dimensional?

It needs to be noted that Cvancara has just walked through the doors, and he has hardly trained with his new teammates.
Hopefully, the more he settles in and the more everyone around him understands his game, the more the Celtic Park faithful will get to see from him.
