Luke McCowan topped off Celtic’s win at Partick Thistle by scoring the fourth goal at Firhill.
Coming on as a second-half substitute, McCowan sealed Celtic’s 4-0 win over Partick Thistle with a well-taken goal in the 79th minute to book their place in the semi-final against Rangers.
However, McCowan appeared to take a dig at the Partick Thistle fans as he wheeled away to celebrate his second Celtic goal of the season.
And Celtic’s Unique Angle shows exactly where the celebration was aimed as Partick Thistle fans raged at the Hoops midfielder.

Luke McCowan fires back and angers Partick Thistle fans with Celtic goal
McCowan barely had time to make a proper impact on the game prior to his Celtic goal so quite why he was getting stick from the Thistle fans is a mystery.
But the former Dundee captain answered them in emphatic style as Unique Angle shows exactly which Partick Thistle fans were the focus of McCowan’s goal wind-up.
Superb from McCowan as he triggered the Partick Thistle fans who clearly couldn’t handle getting back what they dished out to the Celtic midfielder.
Luke McCowan’s Celtic stats this season as midfielder struggles for starting place
McCowan has made just five appearances for Celtic in the Scottish Premiership this season.
The Celtic supporting midfielder is living the dream, but that dream has stalled as McCowan’s stats from Fotmob show he is struggling to break into Brendan Rodgers’ side.
- Appearances: 5
- Minutes: 104
- Minutes per game: 20.8
- Goals: 1
- Assists: 0
- Chances created: 3
- Passing accuracy: 85.2%
- Duels won %: 40%
Rodgers appears to be sticking to his midfield three of Callum McGregor, Reo Hatate and Benjamin Nygren so it looks like McCowan will need to be patient at Celtic this season.
