It won’t be long until Kieran Tierney returns to Celtic as the Scotland defender’s Arsenal contract runs down.

Tierney’s return to Paradise has excited much of the Celtic support, especially as he has been getting a run in The Gunners’ first-team of late.

However, what that has also done is make Arsenal fans appreciate Tierney as he continues to impress with his latest performances.

And after this weekend, the Premier League club’s supporters have expressed a desire for Arsenal to do something for Tierney after the Celtic-bound defender reached a big milestone in England’s top tier.

For all the times Tierney has been snubbed by Arsenal, the Celtic hero has still managed to reach 100 appearances for the London club in England’s top tier.

Coming on as a second-half sub in Arsenal’s 4-0 trouncing of Ipswich Town, Tierney finally reached the big milestone after spending six season’s at the Emirates.

But now on his way back to Celtic, the Arsenal supporters want just one thing for the defender before he makes his Emirates exit at the end of the season.

Arsenal progressed to the Champions League semi-final last week after an impressive two-legged thrashing of Real Madrid.

With just the European trophy to play for, the Arsenal fans are demanding their club win it to give Tierney the perfect send-off to Celtic:

Another Arsenal fan said, “KT really needs a farewell trophy before he leaves.” Another replied, “So happy for Tierney. That injury at the Euros was a blessing in disguise. He deserved to return to the club. I hope we win the Champions League for his sake. Proper Gunner!”

One Gunners fan cheekily said, “Needs a contract extension. Still has plenty to offer for the Arsenal.” As another added, “We’ll never forget these recent performances.”

There is clearly still a lot of love for Tierney from the Arsenal support which makes the fact he is returning to Celtic that little bit more sweeter.
