Celtic’s latest summer arrival, Jota, has labelled fellow Hoops teammate Kyogo Furuhashi as a ‘world-class’ striker.
The former Benfica man enjoyed a successful season on loan at Celtic, helping the Bhoys on their way to a league and cup double.
This morning, the winger secured his future at Paradise, signing a five-year deal that would see him remain with the club until 2027.

One of the highlights of Celtic’s first campaign under Ange Postecoglou was the attacking football played by his side.
Two of the main players at the forefront of that were summer arrivals Kyogo Furuhashi and Jota.
The pair struck up a strong relationship and scored some brilliant goals, including a superb strike against Ferencvaros.
Speaking upon officially joining as a permanent player at Celtic, Jota was asked about what it was like to play alongside the Japanese internationalist.
The 23-year-old was full of praise for the former Vissel Kobe forward and went as far to say he wasn’t sure if there were many players in world football with better movement than Kyogo.
At a press conference 67 Hail Hail attended, Jota said: “Kyogo is an amazing player. Some of his movements are world-class.

“I’m not sure if there is many players in the world who can do his movements, and I’ve seen a lot of strikers. Quality strikers.
“So, to be in the same team with Kyogo just helps. But not just Kyogo. I think we have a lot of quality in every sector, every position and whoever goes on the pitch will be ready for sure.
“This is the best thing about our team; everyone is always ready to perform and to deliver results, and that’s what we are looking for.”
Kyogo and Jota a partnership which will flourish next season.
The first half of the season in 2021/22 was the main period we were able to see Kyogo and Jota link up.
Both player then had their injury issues and time out of the side before returning alongside one another in the final few games of the season.
With a pre-season under their belts, that link-up between the duo could become even stronger, which is an exciting proposition for the Celtic support.
I am sure the two players will also be looking to up their game in preparation for Champions League group stage football, where they will be showcasing their ability on one of the biggest stages of them all.
