67 Hail Hail fans have been mulling over the ideal striker to sign on our TalkingPoints platform, and think they have found their number one option.
Anyone who has watched Celtic this season will know that a number nine is the top position they should be looking at.
Selling Adam Idah to Swansea City left them short-changed and resorting to signing Kelechi Iheanacho on a free.
Iheanacho, Johnny Kenny and Daizen Maeda have all had a go at leading the line, but none of them look well-equipped to do it every week.
A proven goalscorer is required, and in the latest TalkingPoints debate, one player received more mentions than anyone else.
Kieron Bowie to Celtic… yes or no?
Celtic fans want Kieron Bowie to join in January
Kieron Bowie’s name has been doing the rounds as Celtic fans look to stay domestic in their number nine search.
Bowie has been impressive at Hibernian and earned call ups to the Scottish national team too.
Marvin Bartley is convinced that Bowie would want to join the Bhoys, and 67 Hail Hail fans would be delighted with him too.
One supporter commented: “Bowie would be a good signing.”
Another added: “Yes. Bowie is Celtic’s style of player and with the chances he will get at Celtic, he is easily a 20+ goals per season striker.”
A third wrote: “Yes, definitely. A big centre-forward to hold the ball up and score goals. Also a young guy for the future.”
Who is the worst Celtic signing of all time?
Even Hibernian fans are open to seeing him come to Celtic Park, especially if it is enough to stop Hearts from winning the league.
“Hibs fan here, be gutted to lose him but would drive him there myself to stop Hearts winning the league,” he added.
