Celtic fans have experienced a bit of a ticket novelty for our upcoming Scottish Cup final against Inverness Caledonian Thistle at Hampden.

On Saturday 3 June, Ange Postecoglou‘s men will bid to win the treble against the Championship outfit.

Inverness‘ modest support means that there are likely to be more Hoops fans at the game than at any other final in recent history.

Celtic have announced long-awaited ticket details over the past 24 hours, and the big news is that all of those on the Home Cup Ticket Scheme will get a ticket.

The club posted information on their website on Wednesday morning, saying: “Tickets for the game are on sale now to Season Ticket holders on the Home Cup Ticket Scheme.”

This is a real novelty for Hoops supporters who have been forced to wait on ballot results for recent Hampden games against the likes of Rangers and Hibernian.

It will also be a welcome sight for the club, who are able to offer every fan on the system a ticket for the final match of the campaign.

That’s not to say that the guarantee of a ticket made things completely relaxing for HCTS supporters on Wednesday.

Judging from a look on a few forums, it was still a very frantic morning.

Rather than the issue being getting a ticket, it was trying to sort multiple ones together or for a specific area of the ground.

Many fans will not have been able to secure the above. But at least they’ll get to see the game.

Supporters not on the Home Cup Ticket Scheme, which sees supporters automatically debited for every home domestic cup match, will have to wait for more details about sales.

It seems likely that there will be a sale to other season ticket holders.
