It didn’t end in the victory Celtic wanted, but Martin O’Neill’s side still produced an entertaining display to end pre-season with another draw.

However, Celtic fans will be hoping they don’t play Milan for the 2026/27 campaign, because they will be playing Europa League football.
Despite being a European powerhouse, the Rossoneri continue to struggle on the domestic front, which included a title charge turning into a nightmare Europa League finish last term.
Celtic’s Champions League qualifiers begin on August 18/19, before concluding on August 25/26, with the opponents yet to be confirmed.
The fact that Celtic have postponed their clash against St Johnstone during that week proves how big a game this is.
