It has been quite the week for Celtic.

From Brendan Rodgers winning another trophy in the most dramatic of fashions as Rangers were put to the sword in a penalty shootout to Celtic’s dropped points at Dundee United a week later.

Rodgers can certainly raise a glass at Christmas because, whilst it has been eventful, all of it has been deserved and there has been a lot to cheer about this season.

From Celtic’s Champions League performances to only dropping points in two games in the Premiership.

Compared to last season, where the performances were iffy and off-colour quite a lot of the time, the fans have been seriously entertained this time around.

If you were to ask the supporters to pick a moment, some would go for Celtic’s win over RB Leipzig, but others would go for trophy number 119 being delivered.

Aiden McGeady delighted with Celtic winning trophy number 119 against Rangers

Celtic became Scotland’s most decorated club after that Hampden thriller and it delighted Aiden McGeady.

Speaking from the perspective of a boyhood fan, he stated that it was ‘more sweeter’ it happened against Rangers and the manner of it, as he told Sky Sports Football (22/12/24 at 11:05 am).

“Being biased and growing up as a Celtic fan, of course, it does (mean more) because it’s one that Rangers fans have had a hold over Celtic fans for a long, long time,” said McGeady.

“It makes it the more sweeter. I suppose the manner of it makes it that little bit sweeter as well. The fact that they went to penalties. It’s never a way you want to win a final as a player, but it’s the best way to win it when you do.”

From the Lisbon Lions to Rodgers’ Invincibles, fans have been blessed to witness some amazing and historic moments.
