The big Champions League kick-off is almost upon the Celtic fans as they look forward to another European night under the Celtic Park lights.
The visit of Slovan Bratislava gives Brendan Rodgers a good chance of getting Celtic’s Champions League campaign off to a good start with a win over the Slovakian side.
Bratislava’s recent form shows that they are a beatable side after they suffered a heavy 5-0 home defeat at the beginning of September.
However, whilst Celtic’s domestic form has been imperious this season, whenever Europe comes calling the Parkhead club’s record in the top competition is not the best.
Alan Brazil’s confident Celtic prediction
Celtic are currently winless in their opening Champions League group stage opening fixture since 2001 and upon hearing that, Alan Brazil was still confident that Rodgers’ side can pick up a result against the Slovakian champions.
Brazil told talkSPORT, “I think they can the way they’re playing. The one thing about Celtic is Brendan’s got them playing. There’s no dilly-dallying on the ball.
“They are playing high tempo, they really are.
“You know, it’s Europe, there is a lot of expectation, but I think Celtic will get something tonight, I really do.”
It’s time for Celtic to change the Champions League record
Celtic fans have had to endure some poor seasons in UEFA’s flagship tournament over the years.
Heavy defeats against the likes of PSG, Barcelona and Real Madrid have not given the Celtic support much to cheer about over recent years.

However, Brendan Rodgers has strengthened the Celtic squad with the big-money signings of Arne Engels, Adam Idah and Auston Trusty.
And let’s not forget the shrewd signing of Kasper Schmeichel who looks like he could be a big player for Celtic in Europe.
The Celtic boss believes he is now the most ready he has ever been heading into a Champions League campaign. Let’s hope that readiness shows with a good win at Celtic Park tonight.
