The summer 2024 transfer window is now closed for all Scottish Premiership clubs including champions Celtic, who have reinforced their squad from a position of strength.

The Bhoys may well have had the most well-equipped squad in the country before the window opened, but Brendan Rodgers was extremely keen to add some extra quality.

Adam Idah’s permanent move was a prime example of that before an extremely busy deadline day that saw Celtic break their transfer record to sign £11m midfielder Arne Engels.

The Belgian wonderkid was recruited as a replacement for Matt O’Riley, who inevitably moved south to the Premier League in a record-breaking £26m switch.
