This Sunday’s Glasgow Derby will be the first in a long time where both Celtic and Rangers fans will be in attendance.
The Celtic Park clash will host both sets of fans with Rangers receiving around 4% of the capacity of the stadium.
That figure amounts to about 2400 Ibrox supporters getting briefs for the Glasgow Derby clash as Celtic confirmed the agreement with Rangers last month.
This led to Alan Brazil winding up Ally McCoist as the talkSPORT duo discussed the big game but the joke had an element of truth to it.

Brazil sends up McCoist about Celtic allowing Rangers fans Glasgow Derby tickets
What started as a joke definitely had an element of truth in it as Brazil said Celtic ‘relenting’ on the ticket allocation ‘saved’ the best derby in the world.
Brazil said on talkSPORT, “When is the Old F*rm game? Is it this weekend? We’ve got a few of your mob turning up have we?
“We’ve seen sense. To keep the best derby in the world going, we’ve relented and said, ‘Get lost Rangers, we’ll let some of you in.”
McCoist: “Aw, thanks very much for relenting. I’d like to take this opportunity on behalf of all the Rangers fans to thank you for relenting, Al.”
Had it not been for Celtic coming to a compromise first then the likelihood of Rangers fans attending the game on Sunday would have been close to zero so the Parkhead club should and deserve some credit from their Glasgow rival supporters.
How the Glasgow Derby ticket allocation stand-off between Celtic & Rangers really happened
For years now there has been bickering about the cutting of away fan allocations from the Glasgow Derby and, in truth, it was Brendan Rodgers’ fault.
The Celtic manager’s total domination of Rangers in his first tenure at Parkhead forced the Ibrox club to cut the allocation from the full Broomloan Stand to what has now become a zero fan policy.
In fact, there were two Celtic men at fault for the ticketing furore. Rodgers, and this man here:
Odsonne Edouard’s winner when Celtic were down to ten men caused Rangers to slash the allocation because they were fed up watching Hoops fans constantly celebrating wins in their stadium. Allegedly.
With the allocations now looking on the rise, hopefully it won’t be too long until a health contingent of away fans are allowed entry into the fiercest derby in football.
