Alistair Johnston opened the scoring for Celtic yesterday as they eventually secured a 2-0 victory against Dundee at Parkhead.
Despite racking up several opportunities, the Bhoys had to wait until the hour mark for a breakthrough as the Canadian right-back diverted home a Hyunjun Yang centre to delight the home support.
Arne Engels added some shine to the scoreline with a well-taken penalty to ensure a comfortable Celtic triumph over Dundee, keeping the Bhoys top of the Scottish Premiership standings on goal difference.

Continuing a magnificent start to the campaign, Alistair Johnston has four goals and three assists to his name at the Bhoys, illustrating his value in offensive situations to Brendan Rodgers.
Speaking post-match, Johnston opened up on why he seems to be becoming a source of goals for Celtic from right-back.
Alistair Johnston on his recent Celtic goal flurry
Everything Johnston seems to touch in the final third at the moment is going in, but the Canada international has indicated he feels luck is simply on his side rather than offering another explanation behind his superb numbers.
He told Celtic TV: “I’m getting really lucky; I just seem to go into the six-yard box once or twice a game and it just keeps falling to me, and honestly, that one I really didn’t know much about.
“That one, I was there, and I just kind of got a toe on it, and I think I just put McCracken off a little bit there. I think he was expecting it to get through, and finally, the size 11 feet come to help me for once!
They’ve not really helped me with the stepovers, but apparently, they help to get a big toe on it, so I’m just happy that they could help break the deadlock there, get us going in the right direction and get a reward for all the hard work the guys have put in throughout the match.”
Brendan Rodgers won’t care where the goals come from
Ultimately, as long as his side are winning, Rodgers won’t take any issue with who crops up on the scoresheet for Celtic.
However, what Johnston’s recent flurry does show is the collective Bhoys’ squad power that has contributed to their unbeaten domestic start.
Everyone is chipping in where needed, loosening the need to rely on one or two decisive players in the final third to deliver moments that create positive results.
All over the pitch, Celtic carry an offensive threat, and it is great to see Johnston has found a midas touch to complement his excellent defensive work.
